Katrina Bearer

Owner & Executive Chef

Food is my passion, so is healthy living.

I was the Executive Chef of Nolen Kitchen in Charlotte for two years and prior to that, the Chef DeCuisine. My love of cooking began when I was four years old. I played sous chef to my grandma in the kitchen and watched her make everything from scratch. We would often enjoy our creations and watch the legendary Julia Childs on TV. I knew from a young age that I wanted to become a chef.

My career began when I started working for a catering company in Cleveland, OH, my hometown. After winning several cooking competitions, I received a scholarship from Johnson & Wales University. I moved to Charlotte after graduating high school to begin formal culinary training. After working in a five star restaurant in Florida as the Executive Chef, I returned to Charlotte. At the age of 24, I became the youngest Executive Chef ever at Nolen Kitchen. I loved creating menus, managing staff, and won awards for Best Appetizer from respected food critic Helen Schwab.

I left Nolen Kitchen to become a personal chef because I wanted to combine my passion for food with my desire to help others live healthier. I founded The Blossoming Kitchen with long time client and friend Adrienne Wei, L.Ac. FABORM, Fertility and Nutrition Coach. Our goal is to create a company promoting a healthy lifestyle to balance of the mind and body.

When I am not busy working in the kitchen, I love spending time with my fur baby “Diesel”, working out and watching “Cut Throat Kitchen” on the Food Network.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator align=”align_left” css=”.vc_custom_1465071491962{margin-top: 50px !important;margin-bottom: 50px !important;}”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/4″][mk_image src=”https://theblossomingkitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/blossomingkitchenphotos_jfp2019-97.jpg” image_width=”225″ image_height=”225″ frame_style=”rounded” align=”center”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”3/4″][vc_column_text]

Adrienne Wei

Owner & Holistic Nutritionist

I always knew my passion was in holistic health and nutrition.

I grew up in a family with a mom who was a Chinese medicine doctor and an acupuncturist. After a few years with an unfulfilling career in the corporate world as an engineer, I found my calling to help others by returning to school to become an acupuncturist.

I moved to Charlotte after graduation and founded an acupuncture clinic, Inner Peace Acupuncture & Wellness, Inc. I spent the last decade dedicating myself to helping women achieve their health goals and their dreams of motherhood. I experience first hand with the success of Inner Peace Acupuncture & Wellness, that the combination of a healthy diet, lifestyle, and mind can have such a positive impact on the overall health of a person.

I met Katrina through a mutual friend at a time when I struggled with work/life balance. I stressed daily over how to find time to create healthy meals for my family. After few months of working with Katrina, I found my balance again.

We all decided to partner up to help other busy families maintain a healthy diet, and find their work/life balance. The Blossoming Kitchen was born. We hope to empower others to live cleaner and healthier by providing delicious meals, and providing education on how to do so.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator align=”align_left” css=”.vc_custom_1465071491962{margin-top: 50px !important;margin-bottom: 50px !important;}”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/4″][mk_image src=”https://theblossomingkitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/JMT_1577-1_opt.jpg” image_width=”225″ image_height=”225″ frame_style=”rounded” align=”center”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”3/4″][vc_column_text]

Kara Markley

Owner & Marketing Guru

Helping simplify and ease stress is essential to me as a new mom.

For me, with life changes came new life choices. After being in the marketing and technology corporate world for 10 years, I decided to start a family and find a career that was more meaningful and fit my busy family lifestyle.

My journey started while a patient at Inner Peace Acupuncture & Wellness. I kept hearing about how wonderful Katrina’s food was and thought I totally need to hire her after my first child is born. I could immediately see the value once life got super crazy and finding time to feed myself and husband went to the back burner. I also knew from watching friends how important is was for a new mom to eat during postpartum to help with breast milk production and depression.

When I’m not helping promote The Blossoming Kitchen, I’m at home trying to figure out life as a new mother and trying to tame our 100lb Bloodhound.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator align=”align_left” css=”.vc_custom_1465071491962{margin-top: 50px !important;margin-bottom: 50px !important;}”][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1532989097611{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]
